One person has applied for the position of Brookfield police chief, the department’s detective, Sgt. Aaron Kasiewicz, said Trustee Mark Ferrara.
The trustees will talk about a date for an interview at their meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 5, he said.
“Exciting news for the township,” Ferrara said. “We’re excited to get the process moving.”
Police Chief Dan Faustino’s contract expires at the end of June, when he will retire.
Ferrara and Trustee Shannon Devitz decided to limit applicants to current members of the department. Trustee Dan Suttles said outside applicants also should have been invited to apply.
