Mark Hughes has resigned from the Brookfield Road Department, ending 17½ years of township employment.
Township trustees thanked Hughes for his service.
“He’s gonna seek employment elsewhere,” Suttles said. “He’s been a big part of our team and has contributed to a great degree.”
“Mark’s been a great employee,” said Road Supt. Jaime Fredenburg. “He has a vast amount of knowledge in different areas. That part is gonna be missed sorely, but I understand it. There’s a lot of opportunities out there.”
The township is accepting applications for the position until April 12. A description of the position is available on the township website, brookfieldtwp.org, and applications are available at the township office, 6844 Strimbu Drive, during weekday business hours.
