We feel that the public should know there was a petition circulated concerning the hiring of a fire chief for the Brookfield area.
We had 150 willing signatures. They all argued that we should have a local fireman for the chief’s position.
This petition was turned in to the trustees at their meeting (on May 7). So far, it has not been read aloud or publicized to the public. We are sure that 150 signers will remember this at the next election.
We offer our thanks and appreciation to those that signed. Hopefully, our labor was not in vain.
