A program for people who would like to talk about – or just listen to – ideas and beliefs about suicide is beginning in Brookfield.

The first Suicide Cafe will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at Jimmy Neno’s Pizzeria and Taproom, 7172 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield. Organizers intend to hold Suicide Cafe every first Tuesday of the month afterward.

“The intent of the cafe is not to be depressing or overwhelming, but rather to open up the conversation and destigmatize suicide by coming together as a community,” organizers said.

The event is sponsored by G and L in Motion, Trumbull County LOSS and Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board.

The event is free and a purchase is suggested but not required. Teens are welcome, but anyone under 18 must have an adult with them.

Registration is not required, but would be helpful. Call 330-506-1232.
