A program for people who would like to talk about – or just listen to – ideas and beliefs about suicide is beginning in Brookfield.

The first Suicide Cafe will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at Jimmy Neno’s Pizzeria and Taproom, 7172 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield. Organizers intend to hold Suicide Cafe every first Tuesday of the month afterward.

β€œThe intent of the cafe is not to be depressing or overwhelming, but rather to open up the conversation and destigmatize suicide by coming together as a community,” organizers said.

The event is sponsored by G and L in Motion, Trumbull County LOSS and Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board.

The event is free and a purchase is suggested but not required. Teens are welcome, but anyone under 18 must have an adult with them.

Registration is not required, but would be helpful. Call 330-506-1232.
