A Warren man found with a loaded handgun in his car in Brookfield was sentenced recently to state prison.
Jaquan P. Isom, 33, pleaded guilty Nov. 1 to a charge of possession of a firearm while under disability. Isom has a previous drug-related conviction that renders him unable to possess a gun.
Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Andrew Logan sentenced Isom Jan. 30 to 18 months in prison.
Isom was pulled over April 7, 2022, by Brookfield police for driving a car that didn’t have a license plate, police said. A .40-caliber handgun was found in the glove box, police said.
Isom recently filed an appeal.
